Lawley Village Day Nursery

Our Nurseries

Every child is a unique child

We believe that every child is a competent learner who can be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured. The commitment is focused around development, inclusion, safety, health and wellbeing.

Developing positive relationships

We believe that children learn to be strong and independent from a base of loving and secure relationships both with parents and key people here in our nursery team. The commitment is focused around respect, partnership with parents and supporting and learning.

Providing stimulating and enabling environments

We believe that our nursery environment plays a key role in supporting and extending children's development and learning. Our commitment is focused around observation, assessment and planning, support for every child in the wider context – group to group and pre-school transitions, continuity and where appropriate multi-agency working.

Encouraging learning and development.

We believe that children develop and learn in different ways and at different rates. All areas of learning and development are extremely important to us and we see them as significantly interrelated.

Settling your child in

We offer parents as much as possible an individual, tailored settling in plan to help settle children into Nursery. Settling in sessions work best if full co-operation and partnership begins straight away. The settling in period will be two sessions. We suggest the first session is spent together exploring the environment and toys and interacting with the other children and staff. You and your child will also be introduced to your child’s key person who will work closely with you to support your child’s learning and development. The settling in period is two, two hour sessions. We will work closely with you to ensure this experience is a happy and exciting time for both you and your child.
